Vintage is the annual magazine of “Politika”, a local newspaper in Lesvos. This year’s issue, Vintage + taste, was about the gastronomic wealth and the connection of tourism with the food culture of Lesvos island.
The aim of the editorial illustration was to highlight the gastronomic treasures of the island, by depicting well-known local food and drinks. Parts of the distillation procedure of ouzo, a dry anise-flavoured aperitif, are combined with salted papalina, one of the island’s most famous savory dish widely known as the sardine sushi of Greece.
